With each passing year, I see how my past has a lot to do with my present.
As a child, I remember those cold mornings, waking up before the moon rose to start the day.
It was the life I had always known.
There was no time to wonder “why?”
Despite our circumstances, (who some would say were poor), we were not allowed to adopt a victim mentality.
On the contrary, nothing was owed to us, there was no one to complain to.
It was simply our obligation to do something with what we had, to work, to fight and to win.
Now, as a woman, I see that my strong will, pistol attitude and fiery personality were inherited from my mother.
Her words are ingrained in my being.
"You have to grab the bull by the horns."
Without a doubt, I am understanding that in the same way, in life my Heavenly Father wants me completely ready with that same tenacity and determination to succeed.
As for His kingdom, there is no room to be timid or quiet. Being a determined, defiant, warrior woman is my heritage.
“The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.”

Con cada año que pása, voy entendiendo que mi pasado tiene mucho que ver con mi presente.
De niña, recuerdo esas mañanas frías, en las cuales nos levantabamos ántes de que la luna amaneciera para empezar el día.
Fué la vida que siempre había conocido.
No había lugar para entretener el, ¿porqué?
A pesar de nuestras circunstancias, (quienes algunos dirían ser pobres), no se nos permitía creér ser víctima.
Al contrario, no se nos debía nada, no existía al quién reclamar.
Simplemente era nuestra obligación hacer algo con lo que teníamos, de trabajar, de luchar y echarle ganas.
Ahora, como mujer, veo que mi caracter fuerte, mi sangre ardiente y mi personalidad guerrera, fueron heredadas de mi madre.
Sus palabras estan arraigadas en mi ser.
“Hay que agarrar al toro por los cuernos”.
Sin duda, voy entendiendo que de igual manera, en la vida mi Padre Celestial me quiere completamente lista con esa misma tenacidad y decidida para triunfar.
En cuanto a Su reino, no hay lugar para ser dócil ni tímida. Ser mujer decidída, desafiante, guerrera es mi herencia.
“El SEÑOR es un guerrero;su nombre es el SEÑOR.”
