What are you good at?
What do you enjoy doing?
The other night, I kept tossing and turning unable to fall asleep.
After about an hour I finally asked, “Okay Lord. What’s up? Why are You keeping me awake? What is it that You want me to hear?”
✨”Your salvation wasn’t just for you.”✨
“What?” I asked myself. “How does that even make sense?”
✨“Your salvation, your gifts- they weren’t just for you. You are to serve others with them.”✨
😀😳🤔🙃
I laid there, soaking up every bit of those words and their meaning.
How many times have I benefited from someone else’s obedience to the Holy Spirit?
Countless.
How many times have I benefited from someone else’s God given gift?
Countless.
Their salvation, through Christ, allowed me to learn from their faith, from their time set aside for me, from their books, from their words, from their talks, from their creativity, from God’s grace through them.
Every single one of us was created with and for a purpose.
Each one with specific gifts or talents. But they were never meant to be harbored only for our own benefit.
They were meant to be used to minister to others, as well.
Do you know yours?
How do you use it?
💛💛💛
“Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!“
